For the second consecutive year, Snowminds launched it’s January instructor training course to help 65 brand new candidates develop their skiing and snowboarding skills and, in turn, successfully obtain their Austrian “Anwärter" Level 1 ski certification.

With both 2- and 3-week course options available, the Snowminds team, led by Austrian Course Manager Thijs Kennis, delivered first-rate ski lessons and introduced our new participants to many of the important exercises they will need to master in order to pass their Austrian teacher training exam.

The intensive trainings were provided 5 days a week, to offer every course participant the opportunity to see their skills rapidly develop over a short period of time. Since 2012, we are proud to say that 100% of our instructors have successfully managed to get a job after completing their Snowminds course!

Of course, it would not be the true Snowminds experience without an equally strong focus on community and having fun. Throughout each course, we offer several team-building activities and educational events that strive to shake people together and create that special spirit and bond between new friends.

So what’s next for our freshly-minted instructors? SKI JOBS!

Based on our pristine record, we expect every one of our 65 new instructors to get a ski or snowboard instructor job at over 13 different ski schools and resorts in Austria, including Maria Alm, Wagrain and Westendorf. For these new instructors, their winter season is just beginning. They will also provide the ski resorts with important added reinforcements for some of the busier holiday periods ahead.

In general, our January instructor training courses are open to everyone looking to improve their skiing abilities and pursue a ski or snowboard instructor job.
